About the position

The HRIS Business Analyst will provide functional and technical support for the Workday HCM System, focusing on areas such as security, reporting, and configuration. This role involves leading projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting system upgrades and enhancements. The analyst will work closely with end users and senior management to recommend process improvements and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security design, configuration, testing and deployment of Workday security into production.
  • Create, edit, and remove organization security roles for the system and provide support for issues relating to user-based, role-based, domain security and business process security policies in Workday.
  • Understand Workday security domains and how to maintain security on business processes.
  • Support Workday feature release updates and enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot technical problems, analyze errors, and diagnose appropriate resolutions with minimal supervision.
  • Provide daily operational support to end users in Workday.
  • Conduct system testing for upgrades, UAT testing for customizations and/or other changes.
  • Work on multiple concurrent projects with nominal supervision.
  • Apply in-depth technical analysis to solve system and application issues.
  • Plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
  • Self-learn and develop skills as new functionality is delivered.
  • Support new technology for the HCM and/or applicant tracking system.
  • Assist in recommendations for processes and/or system improvements to senior management.
  • Support internal and/or external audits relating to data on the HCM and/or applicant tracking systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and supporting Workday HCM in a corporate HRIS/IT role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Workday Pro Certified preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledgeable in Workday Report Writer, Calculated Fields and Dashboards preferred.
  • Familiar with ticketing tracking software (ServiceNow) and change management processes.
