About the position

The HRIS Specialist and Team Lead is responsible for managing and maintaining the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and ensuring its effective integration with other systems. This role involves data collection, organization, and reporting to meet the organization's needs, as well as providing technical support and troubleshooting for HR-related processes. The individual will also lead various tasks in the absence of the HR Manager, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures while delivering training and support to staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide HRIS support including research and troubleshooting HR-related process workflows and issues.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Serve as a consultant to employees, timekeepers, and managers regarding HRIS functions.
  • Perform timecard audits and HRIS system audit reconciliation.
  • Develop and deliver training to employees, timekeepers, and managers on payroll-related HR topics.
  • Create, generate, and maintain effective HR reporting to meet regulatory obligations.
  • Complete data bridges for pay adjustments and monitor various interfaces.
  • Administer HRIS security functions including registration codes and password resets.
  • Maintain working knowledge of HR and payroll-related laws and regulations.
  • Assist with regulatory activities and support the Human Resources team on projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Two years of related experience in HRIS or similar roles.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Professional level of confidentiality in handling employee information.
  • Strong critical thinking, sound judgement, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Understanding of information systems and at least one HRIS product.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ADP HRIS system is a plus.
  • Presentation preparation and public speaking skills.
