About the position

The Workday HRIS Specialist is a critical role focused on managing and enhancing Workday integrations, security, and reporting. This position requires collaboration with HR, Finance, and IT teams to deliver seamless integration solutions and ensure operational success. The specialist will capture business requirements, design integration solutions, manage security configurations, and support key HRIS processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex Workday integrations with third-party platforms.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of user roles, security groups, and access controls within Workday.
  • Work closely with HR, IT, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and deliver integration solutions.
  • Coordinate the delivery of new integrations, updates to security permissions, and enhancements to existing systems.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for integration designs, security configurations, and project status.
  • Evaluate existing security access controls, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to end-users on integration and security access-related inquiries.
  • Support semi-annual Workday upgrade testing, ensuring integrations and security configurations remain functional after each release.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Workday integrations, security, and reporting in a post-production environment.
  • Demonstrable experience with Workday tools such as Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, Extend, PRISM Analytics, BIRT, etc.
  • Proven experience building integrations between Workday and systems such as Active Directory, Aderant, ADP, Benefit Providers, ServiceNow, and/or Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security model, including the creation of user roles, security groups, and restricted access.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to devise creative solutions to complex integration and security challenges.
  • Experience in defining and documenting business requirements, process flows, and working with cross-functional teams to address technical needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and ensure successful project completion under shifting deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workday Pro Certification in Integrations, Security, or Reporting is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Workday Peakon or configuring other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Benefits) is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a law firm environment is highly desirable but not required.
