About the position

The HRIS Workday Manager is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Workday HCM application, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency. This role involves overseeing user security, business process workflows, and system integrations while collaborating with HR and IT teams to enhance functionality. The manager will lead a team of up to four direct reports, focusing on leadership, development, and achieving operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Overall ownership for the ongoing design, deployment, and maintenance of the Workday HCM and HR systems.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to business and functional leaders to improve service delivery and provide system solutions.
  • Lead governance processes, road-mapping exercises, and cross-functional resource planning.
  • Drive the deployment of feature releases and system maintenance, ensuring business requirements are met.
  • Evaluate feasibility of system modifications and enhancements.
  • Lead the Workday support team, balancing day-to-day support with strategic enhancements and projects.
  • Accountable for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Ensure up-to-date documentation of system functions, processes, and capabilities.
  • Develop and promote continuous learning within the support team.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex or escalated issues regarding systems and data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all functions to maintain and develop HR operations processes.
  • Identify and suggest analytics needed for business objectives using system capabilities.
  • Lead projects and teams, obtaining partner buy-in, developing requirements, and conducting post-mortem feedback improvements.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, integrity, and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities.
  • Build a high-performing team and culture of accountability.
  • Recommend process improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Establish key metrics to monitor Workday utilization and identify trends.

Requirements

  • Experience related to implementation and management of enterprise HR applications, preferably Workday.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization, simplifying complex topics for target audiences.
  • Understanding of business priorities and alignment of technology opportunities.
  • Project planning, management, risk monitoring, and mitigation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Ability to motivate and set direction for a team.
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in HR information system management.
  • Workday Pro Certification and experience preferred.
  • Prior experience leading teams is required.
