About the position
The position involves teaching mathematics to students in grades 7-12, focusing on enhancing academic performance and supporting the district's student achievement goals. The role requires the implementation of research-based instructional strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and the creation of a conducive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate the ability to enhance academic performance and support the implementation of the District's student achievement goals.
- Meet and instruct assigned classes.
- Use research-based instructional strategies to deliver instruction that meets the multiple learning needs of all students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of all students.
- Build strong and supportive relationships with colleagues and students.
- Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
Requirements
- BA degree in Education or related field.
- Iowa Teacher's Certification.
- 7-12 Math Endorsement.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous K-12 teaching experience.
