About the position

The Bilingual Intensive Case Manager (Level 3) at The Bethlehem Center plays a crucial role in providing support to unaccompanied minors who have recently migrated to the U.S. This position is part of a grant-funded program aimed at assisting these vulnerable youth through case management, home studies, and crisis intervention services. The role requires a high level of service and involves direct interaction with children and their sponsors, ensuring their safety and well-being as they navigate their new environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management services to unaccompanied children under 18 years old.
• Conduct home visits to assess sponsor households and ensure a safe environment.
• Interview sponsors and household members to evaluate preparedness and responsibilities.
• Prepare reports according to standards to be submitted within 24 hours of case completion.
• Develop individualized action plans alongside caseworkers for each unaccompanied child.
• Act as a primary contact for youth, family, sponsors, and external agencies.
• Follow documentation task protocols in a detailed, accurate, and deadline adherent manner.
• Travel within a 200-mile radius for post-release services and conduct in-home client home studies.
• Engage in ongoing training opportunities and participate in community efforts at The Bethlehem Center.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience relevant to the position and working with vulnerable or migrant populations; 3 years preferred.
• Proficiency in Spanish/English (written and spoken language skills).
• Master's degree with applicable Tennessee licensure or license eligible.
• Comfort with adapting to a flexible and changing environment.
• Ability to handle confidential material responsibly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Driver's License with a clear record.
