About the position

The HSE Field Safety Coordinator at Northwest Companies is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the logistics and crane services sector. This role involves developing safety programs, conducting training, and representing the company during regulatory inspections. The coordinator will work closely with management to promote a culture of safety and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development of safety policies and programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.
  • Conduct training classes for employees on various safety topics including OSHA training and hazardous material communication.
  • Investigate safety incidents and accidents to determine causes and provide training to prevent future occurrences.
  • Represent the company during regulatory inspections by OSHA and other agencies.
  • Coordinate with insurance representatives regarding worker's compensation and property damage inspections.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety or a related technical program.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, both written and oral.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office (preferred).
