About the position
The HSE Specialist role at ABB focuses on enhancing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance within the Electrification Installation Products division. The position is integral to fostering a high-performance culture centered on HSE, ensuring effective risk management, and providing guidance on incident investigations and best practices. The role requires collaboration with management and employees to drive behavioral change and implement performance improvement programs.
Responsibilities
- Reporting HSE incidents to management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
- Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
- Providing feedback to management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their own unit and across ABB.
- Supporting and driving behavioral change through the local implementation of group-wide and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental, Health, or related field.
- 2-3 years working with OSHA rules and regulations, loss control techniques and management.
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene, occupational hazards identification, hazard communication, OSHA and Environmental regulations.
