About the position

This position is a full-time exempt (salary) role supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP), Mission Training Complexes (MTCs), and other Department of Defense (DOD) locations. The Higher Command Support Team Space & Special Technical Operations (SSTO) will be responsible for teaching, coaching, and training ARNG Division and Brigade Commanders and their staff counterparts in the integration of Space Operations and Integrated Joint Special Technical Operations (IJSTO) effects into planning, training, and readiness within the context of Joint Multi-Domain Operations (JMDO) and the Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE). The role may involve support for work originating from any or all MTC locations. The responsibilities include replicating the SSTO as part of the Movement and Maneuver Warfighting Function (WFF) and serving as the Higher Command (HICOM) SSTO staff principal. The individual will teach, train, and coach the SSTO to synchronize with U.S. Space Command, National Technical Means, and the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) in support of division lines-of-effort. Additionally, the role involves integrating, monitoring, and providing space support to operations for various military functions such as targeting, navigation operations, information and intelligence collection, GPS and SATCOM interference resolution, personnel recovery, and understanding the impacts of the space operational environment. The position also requires managing the Division's IJSTO and Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) programs, executing the employment of ACCM and IJSTO capabilities in support of joint operations, and participating in tactical battle-rhythm events that drive training unit Mission Command C2 processes. The goal is to prepare units to effectively conduct Mission Command and command and control processes, ensuring robust replication and immersion of the training audience within a Multi-Domain Operational Environment, resulting in exercises that are doctrinally precise, realistic, demanding, and high-tempo Unified Land Operations.
