About the position

The Hudson Housing Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration and physical operation of the property, ensuring that tenants receive prompt and quality service. This role involves supervising maintenance staff, managing tenant relations, and executing the rental program effectively. The Manager will also be responsible for budget management and coordinating tenant activities.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly inspect the building and grounds, noting physical appearance and maintenance needs.
  • Provide direction and guidance to maintenance staff and social service coordinator, assigning work priorities.
  • Establish rental office procedures and assist in tenant selection.
  • Confer with the Property Manager on evictions, lease violations, and special arrangements.
  • Manage job assignments and inform staff of policies and procedures.
  • Oversee collection, deposit, and reporting of rent and security deposits.
  • Sign all lease agreements and manage site budget and accounts payable.
  • Coordinate tenant meetings and training programs.
  • Plan tenant activity programs and attend community Managers Meetings.
  • Facilitate staff meetings to address issues and concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Some college or continuing education preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the real estate industry preferred.
  • Equivalent experience in human services, management, and problem-solving skills considered.
