About the position

The Human Capital Lead Analyst at Coherent Corp. is responsible for partnering with leadership to integrate data and insights into organizational strategies. This role involves collaborating with business partners to understand their needs, developing analytical solutions, and providing insights to drive decision-making processes. The analyst will focus on automation and technology to enhance reporting solutions while ensuring adherence to data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Leadership to execute on a strategy that integrates data and insights into all aspects of the organization.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals, gather business requirements, and develop analytical solutions to support their vision and strategy.
  • Define, develop, and provide insights, metrics, and analysis to drive the decision-making process and support business strategy for internal and external customers.
  • Facilitate a data-driven, statistical approach to problem solving, including gathering, analyzing, and reporting data.
  • Conduct research and analysis to quantify business opportunities and issues; participate with team members and leadership partners to implement solutions.
  • Influence all levels of an organization to support projects and/or ideas.
  • Measure and validate project results, and successfully implement all facets of data modeling and data reporting.
  • Focus on automation and utilizing technology to provide repeatable reporting solutions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Fusion Analytics or Fusion Data Intelligence highly preferred.
  • B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems preferred.
  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics experience, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Oracle Analytics Cloud, FAW, FDI) is required.
  • Experience conveying data trends, causes, and impacts through visualization.
  • Knowledge in creating analytics for the HR function, processes, and key metrics.
  • Understanding of data privacy concerns and willingness to adhere to regulatory requirements for managing data (GDPR, California Data Privacy Act, PIPL).
  • Strong strategic orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and ability to evaluate impacts within project activities.
  • Ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances.
  • Comfort working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, purposeful work environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Oracle products highly preferred.
  • Ability to uphold safety standards and participate in continuous process improvement on the job.
