About the position

The Human Performance and Wellness Program Director at U.S. Special Operations Command (Army) is responsible for coordinating the Human Performance and Wellness Program for active-duty soldiers at the United States Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASOAC). This role involves evaluating and implementing program guidance, conducting educational sessions, and collaborating with various military and defense organizations to enhance soldier performance and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the program coordinator for the Human Performance and Wellness Program.
  • Evaluate, analyze, research, and implement program guidance for the Human Performance and Wellness Program.
  • Conduct education via briefings, classes, seminars, and workshops on mental and physical support topics.
  • Coordinate with DoD, SOCOM, DOA, and USASOC on research proposals and focus areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in a field related to medical, health sciences, or allied sciences.
  • One year of specialized experience in developing, planning, implementing, and analyzing human performance and wellness programs.
  • Knowledge of kinesiology, dietetics, nutrition, physical therapy, occupational therapy, cognitive performance, and strength and conditioning.
  • Experience in advising military units on human performance program design and testing protocols.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in creating and modifying program guidelines and processes.
  • Experience in metric collection and personnel roles and qualifications.
