The Human Resources Specialist I position at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is a vital role that supports the overall human resources functions within the Hobby Unit located in Marlin, Texas. This position is responsible for assisting in various HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance with state and federal employment laws. The HR Specialist will work closely with management and staff to ensure that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and adhered to, fostering a positive work environment and promoting employee engagement. In this role, the HR Specialist will be tasked with processing personnel actions, maintaining employee records, and assisting with the onboarding process for new hires. Responsibilities

Requirements
