About the position

The District is currently seeking candidates for the position of Human Resources Analyst in the Talent Acquisition Department. Under general supervision, this position applies professional level human resources skills and analysis to assignments in the department unit engaged in employment. As a Human Resources Analyst, you will be responsible for screening applicants for minimum qualifications based on applications, supplemental questionnaires, and other required documentation. You will organize recruitments, including resume searches, strategic planning, placement of advertising and promotional announcements, development of examination plans, and writing of job announcements and application materials. Additionally, you will provide advice to hiring managers and develop employment selection tests, write test items, use test item banks, perform item analysis and other statistical analyses for validation studies, and modify tests based on analysis. You will also administer employment selection tests, train evaluators and interview panels, review scoring, and explain tests and examination results and procedures to applicants. Data management is a key part of this role, as you will enter or modify data, write queries, and develop reports from HRIS, supplying information to Department units as needed. Monitoring and auditing the accuracy and integrity of transactions in HRIS systems to ensure proper interface with benefits and payroll functions is also essential. You will establish and maintain confidential files and records, perform administrative tasks such as data entry, and provide advice, expertise, and guidance to management regarding unit(s) of assignment. This position may also involve performing related duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advice, expertise, and guidance to management in regard to unit(s) of assignment.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, from an accredited college or university.
  • A minimum of three (3) years in a Human Resources department at the professional level, performing functions in recruitment and selection; classification and compensation; HR Information Systems; employee relations, benefits administration, or AA/EEO.
  • Must possess, or obtain and maintain a valid California Class C Driver License and meet the District's safe driving standards.
