About the position

The Talent Acquisition and Compensation Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing special projects within the Human Resources department, specifically focusing on talent acquisition and compensation. This role requires a deep understanding of SUCSS Statutes and Rules, as well as SIUC Policies and Procedures, to ensure compliance and accuracy in HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with annual reports and salary surveys, serving as a data expert.
  • Lead and manage special projects related to talent acquisition and compensation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on SUCSS Statutes and Rules, SIUC Policies and Procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of annual reports and salary surveys.
  • Act as the primary data expert for employment, compensation, and position assignments.
  • Facilitate long-term strategy planning in alignment with departmental goals.
  • Review HR documents and practices for accuracy and adherence to policies.
  • Provide input and support in resolving complicated employment situations.
  • Provide ongoing training to current staff to enhance job knowledge and efficiency.
  • Provide backup support for professional employment counselors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Administration, Management, Organizational Administration, Public Administration, Labor Relations, Business Administration or a closely related field.
  • Ten (10) years of work experience in Human Resources specializing in talent acquisition and compensation in a higher education environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of SUCSS Statutes and Rules, and SIUC Policies and Procedures.
