About the position

Daher is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Stuart, Florida. This full-time position is pivotal in aligning business objectives with employees and management within designated business units. The HRBP will be responsible for formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services that reflect the organization's business objectives. This role requires maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition. In this role, the HRBP will not have direct supervisory responsibilities but will serve as a coach and mentor to other positions within the department. The HRBP will embed the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values into all policies and practices, ensuring that HR guidance is provided to line management when appropriate. The position involves analyzing trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop effective solutions, programs, and policies. The HRBP will manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct thorough investigations, and maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, thereby reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance. Additionally, the HRBP will provide performance management guidance to line management, work closely with Union representatives, and assist international employees with expatriate assignments. The role also includes identifying training needs, evaluating training programs, and ensuring that training objectives are met. The HRBP will play a crucial role in workforce planning and succession planning, contributing to the overall success and development of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Align business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
  • Formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services.
  • Maintain effective business literacy about the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.
  • Work closely with Union representatives to ensure proper interpretation of the Union contract.
  • Improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Provide guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred.
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Proficient with HCM/HRIS or related software.
  • Highly proficient in report generation (UKG, Workday).
  • Experience working in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a Union environment.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, and policies.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
