About the position

The Human Resource Consultant 2 - Talent Acquisition Supervisor will lead recruitment efforts within the Department of Family and Community Services (DFCS) in Alaska. This role focuses on managing the hiring process, enhancing candidate experiences, and promoting a diverse and inclusive workforce. The supervisor will also ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees and represent the department at recruitment events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment efforts for positions within the Department of Family and Community Services (DFCS).
  • Function as a hiring manager to streamline recruitment processes.
  • Enhance candidate experiences throughout the hiring process.
  • Create job postings to attract suitable candidates.
  • Screen applications to identify qualified candidates for interviews.
  • Set up and conduct interviews with candidates.
  • Submit requests for hire and extend job offers to selected candidates.
  • Coordinate first-day logistics for new staff members, including arranging computer access and required paperwork.
  • Host onboarding presentations to educate new employees about their benefits and the department's culture.

Requirements

  • Experience in human resources, particularly in recruitment and payroll.
