Our fast-growing client is looking to hire an experienced Human Resource Director who can bring a high energy, innovative strategy, and a passion for people. This role will support an organization of 400 professionals to create an environment of learning, development, and positive culture. The Human Resources Director will partner with the CEO and Director of Operations. Through innovation, collaboration, and development of people, they will work together to be a top place to work in Des Moines. Responsibilities

  • Manage a two-person department: Generalist and Talent Acquisition
  • Create a human resources strategy for the organization
  • Understand and administer benefits to create a rich total rewards program
  • Research pay bands and ranges for all positions within the organization to remain competitive
  • Create talent acquisition and partnership programs for recruitment efforts in skilled areas
  • Provide tangible ways to drive employee morale and overall culture
  • Create plans for middle-level management training and development
  • Ensure compliance with overall employment law and policy

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in human resources
  • SHRM or other certifications or working towards achieving certification
