About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist will provide comprehensive HR support and counsel to various business lines, focusing on staffing, compensation, benefits, learning, associate relations, and performance management. This role requires collaboration with senior leadership and the administration of core HR programs while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. The position will be based in Calera, AL, with responsibilities extending to Huntsville and Mobile, AL, and may involve occasional overnight travel.

Requirements

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
  • Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships and collaborate.
  • Proficiency with Workday and Kronos.
  • Experience working in a supply chain/distribution/warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer core human resources programs including staffing, associate relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and learning.
  • Develop and recommend solutions to a variety of human resources issues.
  • Consult with management on the interpretation and administration of human resources policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Work with managers and associates to investigate and resolve associate relations issues.
  • Conduct staffing support including sourcing, interviewing candidates, and conducting reference checks.
