About the position

The HR Generalist II at Apara Autism Centers is a key role focused on fostering a positive work environment and managing various HR functions. This remote position involves responsibilities such as employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management, aimed at supporting the organization's mission to make a difference in the lives of children within the ASD community.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
• Provide training and education on employee relations topics such as performance management and conflict resolution.
• Manage the workers' compensation claims process and administer various leave programs, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Oversee the performance review process in HRIS, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation.
• Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in employee relations or HR generalist functions.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage conflict and foster positive employee relations.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• PHR or SPHR certification.
• DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) certification or experience.
• Experience with Paycom HRIS or similar HR software.
