The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing human resources support and leadership to the human resources team by assessing needs, recommending, and implementing practices and policies aligned to organizational strategy and in support of growth. This role encompasses various responsibility areas including employee relations, talent assessment and development, organization/team effectiveness, communication planning and deployment, and legal compliance/risk management. In this position, you will handle all employee relations concerns, which includes conducting investigations and resolutions. You will partner with necessary resources on legal, federal, and state regulations and laws to mitigate risk for the organization. Providing direct support to business leaders, you will coach and consult with them in growing the business while maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent development, and employment law. The ability to influence across levels and partners, including hourly team members, leaders, and senior leadership teams, is essential. You will effectively communicate HR policies and practices to all employees, oversee all employee terminations, and manage employee surveys for current and exiting employees. Demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, you will engage in continuous development, model inclusive behaviors, and proactively manage biases. Additionally, you will review and make recommendations to leadership for the improvement of the organization's human resources policies, procedures, and practices, while anticipating and identifying changes in unique business/HR needs. Providing a high level of customer service for all employees and clients is a key aspect of this role, along with participating in special projects, including updates to the employee handbook.
