About the position

The Human Resources Generalist role is designed for a hands-on, driven HR professional who is eager to learn and grow while implementing key HR processes. This position combines tactical and strategic HR initiatives, providing day-to-day employee relations support to managers and employees, and driving business initiatives across the U.S. and Canadian organization. The ideal candidate will be an analytical, collaborative leader who can build relationships and improve processes within the HR function.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold company policies and procedures and live the core values.
  • Create employee communications.
  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries.
  • Produce global reports inclusive of data analysis for HR data analytics and compliance review.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Center of Excellence (COE) to create partnerships with universities and assist with recruitment activities.
  • Lead Corporate Office activities such as coordinating employee and fundraising events.
  • Assist with liaison activities supporting the corporate location, including answering phones and being a point of contact for vendors.
  • Support other HR departments as needed, including payroll, benefits, and recruiting.
  • Assist HR and Corporate Management with procedures such as legal requests and ad-hoc requests.
  • May assist in global initiatives.
  • Perform other items as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business Management, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of human resource experience in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant HR/administrative position.
  • Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices.
  • Strong ability in using MS Office, particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday is a plus).
  • Ability to work with ATS software (e.g., Workday, ApplicantPro is a plus).
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude, especially during times of stress.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HR databases and HRIS systems.
