About the position

The Human Resources Generalist at Austin Powder is a dynamic role that combines tactical and strategic HR initiatives. This position is designed for a hands-on HR professional who will provide day-to-day employee relations support, drive business initiatives, and assist in implementing key HR processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will be analytical, collaborative, and results-oriented, with a passion for improving HR functions and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold company policies and procedures while embodying core values.
  • Create employee communications and respond to HR-related inquiries.
  • Produce global reports and perform data analysis for HR activities.
  • Collaborate with the Recruiting Center of Excellence to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Assist in creating partnerships with universities and coordinate job fairs and outreach.
  • Lead corporate office activities, including employee and fundraising events.
  • Support other HR departments such as payroll, benefits, and recruiting as needed.
  • Assist HR and corporate management with legal requests and ad-hoc tasks.
  • Participate in global HR initiatives and other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of human resource experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR coordinator or in a relevant HR/administrative position.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems, such as Workday.
  • Ability to work with ATS software like Workday or ApplicantPro.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality and maintain a professional attitude.
