About the position

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing various HR functions to ensure compliance with labor regulations and support the overall employee experience. This role involves conducting interviews, administering onboarding processes, resolving employee issues, and coordinating employee activities, among other essential HR duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
• Conduct interviews to fill vacant positions.
• Administer onboarding and orientation of new employees.
• Investigate and resolve employee issues and complaints.
• Coordinate employee activities and events.
• Respond to and complete employment verifications.
• Coordinate and track performance evaluations.
• Monitor timekeeping system and resolve discrepancies.
• Administer FMLA and leave of absences.
• Issue disciplinary actions and counsel employees.
• Coordinate enrollment and termination of employee benefit plans.
• Maintain employee files and records.
• Input and maintain data in HRIS system.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training to maintain compliance.
• Coordinate drug tests and perform background checks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Human Resources experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate an empathetic and compassionate listening style.
• Strong problem resolution skills.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office.

Nice-to-haves

• Related Bachelor's Degree or HR Certification preferred.
