About the position

Excelacom is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our team in Reston, VA. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a vital role in managing various HR functions, including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. You will be responsible for ensuring that all employee records are accurately maintained and updated, and you will assist in the management of the offboarding process for all employees and consultants, both at headquarters and remotely. Your role will also involve supporting the benefits administration process, including assisting during Open Enrollment and conducting monthly benefit deduction audits. In addition to these responsibilities, you will collaborate with the finance team to ensure that all information is updated for each bi-weekly payroll cycle. You will manage employee changes and run reports using ADP Workforce Now, and you will work closely with our legal team to manage immigration processes. Monthly audits will be part of your duties to ensure accurate time-off balances, and you will handle employee requests regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you conduct research on various HR-related issues and complete employment verifications as needed. Responsibilities

  • Manage the onboarding process for all employees and consultants (HQ and remote)
  • Compile, update and maintain employee records
  • Assist in managing the offboarding process for all employees and consultants (HQ and remote)
  • Support the benefits administration process, including assisting during Open Enrollment
  • Conduct monthly benefit deduction audits
  • Coordinate with the finance team to ensure all information is updated for each bi-weekly payroll
  • Manage all employee changes and run employee reports using ADP Workforce Now

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Strong math, written and verbal communication skills with an analytical approach
  • Ability to interact cross-functionally with various levels of management and peers
  • Minimum of 3 years' recent experience in HR, preferably in a small to mid-size, fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail
