As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for managing the internal and external recruiting process, which includes coordinating and managing job postings, sourcing candidates, resume screening, conducting and scheduling interviews with the hiring team, and issuing offer letters. You will manage and assist in the implementation of effective recruitment strategies, working with local vendors as needed. Building effective relationships with local vendors and universities to establish a short- and long-term talent pipeline will be crucial. You will provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements. Conducting yearly open enrollment benefit training for employee benefits programs and assisting with employee inquiries and changes will also be part of your responsibilities. You will conduct and provide guidance and support to managers on addressing and resolving employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements. This includes conducting necessary investigations and disciplinary actions. In addition, you will create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies, manage and administer leaves of absence, and provide support for HR projects and initiatives as needed. You will administer new employee onboarding and orientation, recommend enhancements to existing processes, and maintain the site performance review process for hourly employees. Collaborating with the human resources team to develop effective strategies specific to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement, and exit will be essential. You will also conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective actions if necessary, coach and advise site leadership in HR best practices, and assist in the development of updated job descriptions to align with future business needs and local markets.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience in Human Resources.
  • 3 - 5 years' work experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in handling sensitive employee relations issues.
  • 3-5 years experience coaching senior leaders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong staffing and recruiting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software, with Workday experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage a high level of confidentiality with maturity.
  • Strong ability to drive HR best practices.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR principles and practices is essential.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations is essential.
