About the position

The Human Resource Generalist at Mastermind Care Inc. is responsible for managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and compliance with labor laws. This role plays a crucial part in enhancing employee satisfaction and retention while ensuring that the organization adheres to federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Management meetings as scheduled.
  • Provide all potential candidates for hire with an Offer letter.
  • Participate in staff weekly meetings.
  • Ensure required Federal and State government posters are posted in common area and current.
  • Ensure that the employee grievance procedure is visible and posted or acknowledged for all employees.
  • Make grievance forms accessible.
  • Participate in seminars or workshops for business as scheduled.
  • Coordinate scheduling of required trainings within orientation period and annually.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Department to develop recommended trainings/competencies, workshops, and in-services.
  • Encourage staff and contractors to complete Employee satisfaction surveys annually and upon resignation/termination.
  • Assign and follow up on corrective actions when assigned.
  • Collaborate with Lead BHT to develop operations department staff development trainings/competencies, workshops, and in-services.
  • Collect, review, and track all PTO and leave requests in a timely manner.
  • Abide by HIPAA, Payroll, Employee issues, and Confidentiality laws at all times.
  • Maintain a current organizational chart and update as needed.
  • Ensure all contractors have an agreement listing their duties, responsibilities, and compensation.
  • Develop employee retention program approved by leadership, including events and incentives.
  • Ensure all contractors have active Professional Liability Insurance on file annually.
  • Ensure completion of professional licenses and certification verifications prior to hire and annually thereafter.
  • Track and log all new hires, demotions, promotions, resignations, and terminations monthly for quality assurance.
  • Coordinate with Management to establish employment advertisement vendor relations.
  • Develop internal system for Payroll processing deductions.
  • Familiarize with State and Federal Labor laws and employer and employee rights.
  • Ensure all new employees have an orientation process, including a tour and review of policies.

Requirements

  • Experience in Employment & labor law.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in employee retention programs.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing systems.
