About the position

The Human Resource Generalist plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by managing various functions such as talent acquisition, onboarding, employee development, and policy interpretation. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a positive workplace culture through effective HR practices.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified applicants for open positions
  • Conducts pre-employment screenings for applicants
  • Implements new hire orientation and develops onboarding plans
  • Implements employee recognition programs
  • Responds to employment-related inquiries, including employment verifications
  • Develops, implements, and maintains learning and development programs for clinical and administrative departments
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of human resources experience
  • Strong interpersonal customer service skills, including effective listening, clear verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to master multiple software systems to input and retrieve data
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HCM system

Nice-to-haves

  • HR certification from HRCI or SHRM
  • Previous multi-site healthcare experience
