The Human Resource Generalist at Evergreen Goodwill plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring effective employee relations. This position is responsible for providing advocacy, advice, and assistance regarding company policies and procedures, as well as coordinating the resolution of policy-related issues. The HR Generalist will engage in various employee relations activities, including counseling and coaching, and will implement people and culture programs that encompass staffing, performance management, compensation, benefits, and training. This role also involves assisting in organizational training and development efforts, identifying trends and issues, and recommending appropriate actions to address them. In addition to these responsibilities, the HR Generalist will partner with store management to assist in recruiting efforts by engaging with community services, attending events, and collaborating with employment agencies. A strong understanding of employment laws is essential, as the HR Generalist will manage investigations and ensure compliance with various human resources policies and procedures. The position requires maintaining accurate records and files to support audits and reviews, as well as providing orientation and ongoing information to employees regarding HR policies.
