About the position

As a Human Resource Generalist at Fair Trade Outsourcing, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Human Resources division. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in various HR functions, implementing policies, and contributing to the overall well-being of our workforce. This role requires a keen understanding of HR practices, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams. The objective of this position is to collaborate with the People Operations team to execute HR functions, support employee engagement initiatives, and contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and industry best practices. You will assist in the execution of day-to-day HR operations, including but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, and employee record maintenance. Providing guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and general inquiries will be a key part of your role. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives, support the coordination of employee events, recognition programs, and communication efforts. Additionally, you will assist in implementing and communicating HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee data in HR systems. Your role will also involve generating reports and analyzing HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making, coordinating recruitment events and initiatives, and supporting training programs. Staying informed about changes in employment laws and regulations and communicating this to global management will be essential. You will consistently walk the operations floor to observe behaviors and validate the FTO culture, ensuring that HR practices align with legal requirements and organizational values.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in HR or related roles.
  • Knowledge of labor laws of the region.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
