About the position

The Human Resource Generalist at Centroid Systems, LLC will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Human Resource department. This role encompasses a variety of functions including support for Recruiting, Benefits, Immigration, and Resource Management practices. The position is dynamic, providing exposure to multiple areas within Human Resources, and is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes. The Human Resource Generalist will work closely with the HR Director and other team members to ensure that all HR functions are executed efficiently and effectively. In this role, the Human Resource Generalist will support the recruiting function by overseeing the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees. This includes managing the HR group mailbox to ensure that all inquiries are addressed promptly and directed to the appropriate department. Additionally, the Generalist will manage immigration processes, working directly with immigration attorneys to ensure compliance and effective case management. The Generalist will also be responsible for maintaining project staffing for existing employees, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated to various projects. This includes managing project bookings within corporate accounting and resource management systems. Routine tasks will involve administering human resource programs related to compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, performance management, and vendor management. Staying updated on HR trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies is crucial for this role. The position requires participation in documenting existing HR processes and maintaining these documents within corporate repositories. The Human Resource Generalist will also provide administrative support to the HR department as needed, which may include involvement in company acquisitions and compliance certifications such as HIPAA and SOC2. The role requires a presence in the Troy, MI office 2-3 days per week, and candidates must be local to the Troy area to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the recruiting function by onboarding and offboarding resources.

  • Oversee the immigration process by managing individual cases and working with immigration attorneys.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director to ensure appropriate staffing of existing employees on projects.

  • Administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, benefits, leave, and performance management.
  • Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR.
  • Document existing HR processes and maintain them in corporate repositories.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in Human Resource Administration or related fields.

  • Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

  • Ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management system.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Paylocity or Oracle OpenAir is a plus.
