The HR Generalist will support overall people development and corporate goals by providing a wide range of human resources services. This includes talent acquisition, employment processing, compensation management, health and welfare benefits administration, training and development, records management, health and safety compliance, employee relations, retention strategies, and ensuring legal compliance with employment laws. The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace environment and enhancing employee engagement through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies. In addition to the core responsibilities, the HR Generalist will administer and maintain various human resource plans and procedures for the organization. This includes managing company handbooks, overseeing workers' compensation claims, and facilitating new hire orientation processes. The role also involves maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations related to labor laws, workers' compensation, and safety standards. The HR Generalist will lead the Safety Committee, ensuring that safety issues are identified and addressed promptly. The position requires the administration of the company’s employee performance evaluation system, which includes providing documentation and guidance to supervisors, sending review notifications, and monitoring the completion of evaluations for timeliness and accuracy. The HR Generalist will also advocate for the company’s wage and compensation philosophy, researching industry trends and making recommendations to the leadership team to maintain competitive compensation practices. Furthermore, the HR Generalist will actively work to resolve workplace conflicts, acting as a liaison between employees and senior management. This includes making recommendations for improvements to systems and practices that encourage employee engagement and guiding supervisors on effective goal setting, communication, counseling, and disciplinary actions. The role also encompasses supporting employee benefits programs, managing the HR Information Systems, and continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency within the HR processes.
