About the position

The Human Resource HR & HRIS Specialist at Bank of Utah plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources department by managing and improving HR systems and processes. This position is responsible for the technical and systems aspects of HR, ensuring that all HR systems, including UKG, Terryberry, and BVS, are maintained and enhanced to meet the needs of the organization. The HRIS Specialist will focus on automating and streamlining data integration and reporting capabilities, ensuring data integrity, and maintaining security controls for end users. This role also involves creating and maintaining reporting capabilities within Human Resources, allowing for the automated delivery of information to key stakeholders. In addition to technical responsibilities, the HR & HRIS Specialist will support the training function by coordinating training classes, events, meetings, and team member communications. The incumbent will be expected to collect and compile HR metrics and data from various sources, manage HRIS vendor relationships, and support HR projects such as annual benefits enrollment and performance reviews. The role requires a strong understanding of human resource laws and regulations, as well as the ability to operate with high ethical standards and integrity. The HRIS Specialist will also assist in various functional areas, including employee relations, training, performance management, and benefit administration, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the setup and changes in HRIS systems such as UKG, focusing on Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, and Succession Planning.
  • Develop training documentation and system configurations for employee training.
  • Collect and compile HR metrics and data from various sources, including HRIS, surveys, and exit interviews.
  • Manage HRIS vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Support HR projects, including annual benefits enrollment, performance reviews, and department audits.
  • Provide backup support to payroll and audits to increase efficiencies and automation.
  • Collaborate with IT to maintain the HR Intranet page and Active Directory.
  • Create reports and dashboards, present system training, and manage training enrollment.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual compliance reports.
  • Incorporate all Bank training programs within BVS as a central repository and assist managers in finding training opportunities.
  • Process performance review cycles in UKG and communicate with managers regarding overdue reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in HR with a focus on managing core HRIS technology.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with customers and coworkers.
  • Strong computer skills with attention to detail and the ability to provide accurate results.
  • Good knowledge of human resource laws and regulations.
  • High ethical standards and integrity in operations.
  • Strong understanding of the Bank's Cultural Beliefs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems other than UKG.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with employee training and development programs.
