The Human Resource Lead position is a vital role within our organization, responsible for overseeing the execution of human resources functions, scheduling, and cash office operations. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all HR processes are carried out efficiently and effectively, contributing to a positive work environment and supporting the overall goals of the store. The Human Resource Lead will be involved in various aspects of HR, including associate recruitment, hiring, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, policy communication, and scheduling. This non-exempt role reports directly to the Human Resource Manager or Store Manager, making it essential for the HR Lead to maintain strong communication and collaboration with store executives. In this role, the Human Resource Lead will ensure that the onboarding process for new associates is executed proficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. This includes ensuring compliance with I-9/E-Verify and background check requirements. The HR Lead will also lead the performance appraisal process, maintain personnel files, and ensure that benefit administration and communication occur promptly. Assisting with employee relations is another critical responsibility, which involves witnessing associate coaching and counseling, submitting termination requests as directed by executives, and administering exit interviews. Additionally, the HR Lead will be responsible for submitting changes in Workday and ensuring data accuracy. Preparing, processing, and meeting weekly payroll deadlines while ensuring payroll accuracy is also a key responsibility. The HR Lead will train all new associates and managers on the scheduling process and system navigation, working closely with store executives to provide a timely schedule to associates, typically three weeks in advance. This role also involves partnering with the Store Manager to address requests for time off and availability changes in the system, as well as creating a store schedule that meets budgetary guidelines and staffing needs with minimal edits. Furthermore, the Human Resource Lead will oversee the Office-Deposit function, which includes all aspects of monetary maintenance in the store, such as processing deposits, maintaining petty cash funds, and performing sales audits. As a key-holder, the HR Lead will also be responsible for leading the support staff as appropriate, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.
