The Human Resource Lead position is a vital role within the organization, responsible for overseeing the execution of various human resources functions, scheduling, and cash office operations. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training processes are conducted efficiently and effectively. The Human Resource Lead will also manage employee relations, benefits administration, and performance appraisal processes, ensuring that all activities are compliant with company policies and legal requirements. This role is non-exempt and reports directly to the Human Resource Manager or Store Manager, making it essential for maintaining a smooth operational flow within the store. In this position, the Human Resource Lead will ensure that the onboarding of new associates is executed proficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. This includes ensuring compliance with I-9/E-Verify and background checks. The lead will also be responsible for maintaining personnel files and leading the performance appraisal process. Timely communication regarding benefits administration is another critical responsibility, as is assisting with employee relations by witnessing coaching and counseling sessions, submitting termination requests, and administering exit interviews. The Human Resource Lead will also be tasked with preparing and processing payroll, ensuring accuracy, and meeting weekly deadlines. Training new associates and managers on the scheduling process and system navigation is a key responsibility, as is working with store executives to provide timely schedules to associates. The lead will partner with the Store Manager to address requests for time off and availability changes, ensuring that the store schedule meets budgetary and staffing guidelines. Additionally, the Human Resource Lead will oversee the Office-Deposit function, which includes all aspects of monetary maintenance in the store, such as processing deposits, maintaining petty cash funds, and performing sales audits. This role also includes key-holder responsibilities, leading the support staff as appropriate, and ensuring that all HR functions are carried out in a manner that supports the overall goals of the store.
