About the position

The Human Resource Manager at WSP USA will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of HR practices and objectives that foster a high-performance culture. This position emphasizes empowerment, innovation, and the ongoing development of a superior workforce, particularly within the Interstate Bridge Replacement (IBR) Program. The HR Manager will provide strategic guidance, ensure compliance with regulations, and promote diversity and inclusion within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver HR policies and programs and provide advice to IBR Program managers.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate a mindset around diversity and inclusion.
  • Coach others to optimize IBR program values.
  • Establish key stakeholder relationships and work across boundaries to drive results.
  • Anticipate opportunities or issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Diagnose and advise managers on employee performance and engagement challenges.
  • Provide trends and feedback to improve team effectiveness.
  • Act as a credible champion of WSP and IBR program culture.
  • Identify high potential staff and connect them with their home office.
  • Leverage HR Systems to drive value and results.
  • Prepare and implement the Program HR Plan and Staff Training Plan.
  • May manage or supervise staff and contribute to performance reviews.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in HR-related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in HR or related field; management experience preferred.
  • Strong passion for human resources and talent advancement.

  • Proven business acumen with results in influencing managers.
  • Ability to assess talent objectively and intuitively.
