About the position

The Human Resource Manager at Travel + Leisure Co. plays a crucial role in supporting Resort Operations, Sales, and Marketing Teams across multiple locations. This position focuses on business partnership, providing consultation and guidance to business leaders on talent acquisition, retention, and development strategies. The HR Manager is responsible for employee relations, training and development programs, and driving local activities that enhance organizational capability and positively impact business results.

Responsibilities

  • Provide consultation and guidance to business leaders on talent acquisition, retention, and development goals.
  • Deliver employee relations support to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Facilitate associate orientation and various leadership training programs.
  • Advise, coach, and mediate on HR-related matters with employees and managers.
  • Conduct formal investigations for behavior and conduct concerns, including harassment and discrimination cases.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure alignment on employee engagement and recruitment strategies.
  • Participate in project team assignments for organization-wide HR projects and associate programs.
  • Assist in developing solutions that support business objectives and leadership capability.
  • Attend business leadership meetings to ensure goal alignment at the site level.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resource experience as a demonstrated business partner.
  • Strong employee relations and investigation skills preferred.
  • Experience in supporting multiple business groups and/or multiple field locations preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws/regulations related to human resources.
  • Four-year college degree strongly preferred or equivalent years of work experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education within Human Resources.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment balancing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to drive strategy and HR initiatives and influence leaders to action.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a team-building environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Workday experience a plus.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications.
