About the position

The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the Talent Development Team at Stanley Black & Decker. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about human resources and are eager to contribute to the administration of various talent programs. The successful candidate will assist in the management of the recently implemented Performance Management system and its associated processes, ensuring that the system operates smoothly and effectively for all global HR users. In this role, the HR Specialist will be responsible for preparing detailed monthly and weekly status reports that track system usage, compliance, and task completion. This involves routine audits of Talent data to analyze opportunities for process improvement and training, as well as identifying areas of concern regarding process compliance. The incumbent will also develop, manage, and organize training materials, which include user guides, presentations, and communications. Additionally, they will initiate and manage translation requests for multi-lingual materials to ensure accessibility for all users. The HR Specialist will serve as a point of contact for HR and employee users, responding to inquiries regarding Talent system issues and providing necessary support. This position may also involve participation in special projects and other duties as assigned, making it a dynamic role that requires adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly and weekly status reports of system usage, compliance, and task completion
  • Routinely audit Talent data, analyze for opportunities for improvement in processes and training, and identify areas of concern in process compliance
  • Develop, manage, and organize training materials, including user guides, presentations, and communications, and initiate and manage translation requests for multi-lingual materials
  • Manage process improvement documentation
  • Respond to questions regarding Talent system issues from HR and employee users
  • Other special projects and duties, as needed and assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related field
  • 1-3 years' experience within human resources, with a particular focus in HRIS preferred
  • Experience with HRIS systems (Peoplesoft, Oracle, SAP, or Workday preferred)
  • Experience with HR system implementations is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally and at multiple levels in the organization
  • Strong customer focus, interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Process driven, with the ability to recommend and implement changes for process improvement
  • Problem analysis and decision-making capability
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office products, and the ability to create reports, presentations, and business correspondence and communications
