About the position

The Human Resource and Financial Specialist at Smokin' Joe's Tobacco & Liquor Outlets is a full-time remote position focused on enhancing corporate processes in both human resources and financial management. The role involves preparing financial statements, managing HR applications, and ensuring accurate data handling. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of creating efficient processes to support the company's growth and success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Financial /HR Manager to export detailed financial information from FastTrax POS system and Paylocity, upload exported data accurately and timely into QuickBooks Online.
  • Export / Import data using the management software and excel.
  • Create and manage workflows in Paylocity Software.
  • Manage Onboarding and Terminations processes.
  • Order monthly supplies for all store locations and corporate personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business related field (Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, etc…)
  • High proficiency in Excel including but not limited to pivot tables, advanced formulas, spreadsheet creation
  • Understanding of IA and IL employment law
  • Proven analytical abilities
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1 or more years of experience in QuickBooks Online
  • 1 or more years of experience in Paylocity.
