The specialist is responsible for coordinating the development and execution of service strategy plans for their assigned client base, ensuring that objectives are met within the agreed timeframe. This role requires a proactive approach to client relationship management, minimizing requests for assistance while taking prompt action when needed. Effective communication is key in this position, as the specialist must convey ideas, recommendations, and solutions clearly, whether through written or oral interactions. Active listening and the ability to ask clarifying questions are essential skills that enable the specialist to provide appropriate recommendations and responsive service. The role also involves aligning PEO services with client needs by understanding their business plans and operations from an owner's perspective. The specialist will leverage knowledge from various HR disciplines to identify their application and impact on client businesses. Building and sustaining trusting relationships is vital, as the specialist must accurately perceive and interpret emotions and behaviors, managing responses to ensure personal behavior aligns with values and delivers intended results. The Human Resource Specialist will implement programs designed to enhance productivity and reduce liability, focusing on improved communication and best HR practices. This includes developing handbooks, job descriptions, performance management programs, and more. The specialist will influence clients and internal partners to make informed, strategic decisions in a timely manner, leading meetings and making formal presentations as necessary. The role also involves championing change initiatives within the organization and clients' organizations, collaborating with various departments to resolve complex client issues, and educating clients on technical applications. The specialist will utilize company client management systems to capture requests and interactions, share HR solutions with peers, and participate in prospect meetings to provide insights into potential benefits for prospective clients.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Three to five years of business operations experience.
  • Two to three years of Human Resource Generalist experience with emphasis on employee relations is required.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of business drivers for small businesses.
  • Multi-tasking and handling priorities effectively.
  • Customer service experience in a team environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient presentation skills in design and delivery.
  • High level of experience and proficiency in project management.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn other applications as needed.
  • Ability to solicit referrals from clients.
  • Ability to successfully lead a project from start to completion.
