About the position

The Human Resources Specialist at The Plaza Assisted Living is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the Director of Human Resources and the assisted living communities. This role involves recruiting new team members, managing the hiring process, and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). The specialist will also assist in budget management and training coordination, while developing and implementing recruiting strategies based on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit new team members through various channels including internet job searches, educational venues, and job fairs.
  • Conduct interviews and coordinate the hiring process.
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) including ongoing job postings.
  • Assist in maintaining the human resources budget.
  • Provide or coordinate necessary training at the communities.
  • Develop and implement recruiting plans and strategies based on staffing needs.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of one year of Human Resource management experience or equivalent HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP).
  • Minimum of one year experience in recruiting or equivalent professional recruitment certification.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Knowledgeable about state and federal HR law.
  • Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching and making oral presentations to individuals and groups.
  • Ability to remain calm and tactful in stressful situations.

Benefits

  • Starting salary from $55,000 per year, negotiable based on experience.
