About the position

The Human Resource Specialist III serves as the HR representative for various divisions and departments within Campus Facilities, Planning, Design & Construction, Space Planning, Environmental Health and Safety, and the MU Police Department. This role is crucial in coordinating HR transactions, conducting orientations, managing recruitment processes, and supporting employees and managers with HR-related documentation and training.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and process HR transactions including hires, job changes, pay changes, earnings distribution changes, leaves of absence, and separations.
• Conduct Campus Facilities New Employee Orientation and manage new hire paperwork for full-time and part-time staff.
• Manage the eRecruit process, including offers, offer letters, rejection letters, and moving expense agreements.
• Assist with oversight of HR systems such as myPerformance.
• Image all HR documents and upload them in eHRFile.
• Assist with the management of workers' compensation and the Return to Work Program.
• Assist with training sessions for employees and supervisors.
• Help employees and managers with document preparation such as PCQs, resumes, and online applications.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a related field.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional HR Certification - either PHR, SHRM-CP, SCP or higher.
• Familiarity with university systems and human resource policies or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
