About the position

The Utah Division of Human Resource Management (DHRM) is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to provide high-quality HR services at the Utah Department of Corrections Field Office. In this role, you will be responsible for consulting with Department of Corrections management on critical HR liability issues, including workplace investigations, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) compliance, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) considerations, and workers' compensation claims. Your expertise will be essential in navigating complex employment liability issues and ensuring that the department adheres to all relevant laws and regulations. This position is structured as a hybrid role, requiring you to work in the office two days a week while allowing for telework on the remaining days. The office is located at The Utah Department of Corrections, 14717 S Minuteman Dr., Draper, Utah. It is important to note that eligibility for telework is determined by agency management and may change at their discretion. As a member of the DHRM team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the state by supporting the hiring needs of a high-profile agency. Responsibilities
