About the position

The HR Specialist will be integral to the efficient operation of the HR department at the Tampa Center, focusing on onboarding, offboarding, and continuous improvement of HR processes. This role requires adaptability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the onboarding and offboarding processes, including offer letters, background checks, and payroll setup.
• Process employee transfers and ensure compliance with timekeeping by conducting bi-weekly audits.
• Assist with recruitment by interviewing candidates, preparing offer letters, and processing new hire paperwork.
• Lead employee appreciation initiatives and provide ad hoc employee relations support to HR Business Partners.
• Propose and implement improvements in HR policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
• Administer leaves of absence and accommodation requests in collaboration with external vendors.
• Participate in project work and provide HR expertise and best practices as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in human resources, including employee relations, performance management, and recruiting.
• Preferred certifications: PHR or SPHR.
• Familiarity with SuccessFactors platform is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with employees and managers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with compensation processes, including year-end evaluations.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local HR regulations and laws.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
