About the position

As a Human Resource Specialist at Kelly® Professional & Industrial, you will play a pivotal role in supporting one of the leading agricultural business and food companies. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to elevate their careers in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for collaborating with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and executing a comprehensive recruiting plan that ensures a positive candidate experience. Your role will also involve fostering a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and satisfaction. In addition to recruitment, you will address employee concerns and conduct investigations when necessary, ensuring that all HR processes are managed effectively. You will own and manage local HR processes, maintaining accurate employee records and coordinating onboarding and orientation for new hires. Your partnership with leadership, HR, and Labor will be crucial in ensuring compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, which is particularly important in a unionized environment. This position requires a proactive approach to HR management, where you will need to demonstrate agility in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and communication to provide exceptional service to both employees and leaders. Your ability to handle matters confidentially and with professionalism will be essential as you balance competing priorities with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and deliver on recruiting plan.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience in partnership with our Talent Acquisition team.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement.
  • Address employee concerns and conduct investigations when necessary.
  • Own and manage local HR processes and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new hires.
  • Partner with leadership, HR, and Labor to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and 1 years of experience in HR generalist role is preferred.
  • Candidates with an Associate's degree in a related field and 3 years of experience may be considered.
  • Experience working in a union environment preferred.
