About the position

The Human Resource Specialist at Az Asthma & Allergy Institute is a professional role responsible for managing the daily operations of the HR department. This includes ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, overseeing recruitment, onboarding, employee benefits administration, and maintaining employee records. The position requires a versatile individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently and adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and interviewing candidates.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and onboarding, creating onboarding plans and educating new hires on HR policies.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Process and administer leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork.
  • Interpret and explain FMLA and ADA implications related to leaves of absence and disabilities.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends for improvement.
  • Assist with employee retention strategies and motivation initiatives.
  • Manage the employee database and prepare KPI reports.
  • Draft official internal documents such as offer letters and salary slips.
  • Coordinate with vendors and management to maintain necessary items for all locations.
  • Stay updated with HR trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in human resources, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • 3 years of experience as a full-time recruiter.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of recruiting practices and the I-9 employment verification process.
