About the position

As a Human Resource Specialist at Caliola, you will play a crucial role in overseeing organizational and HR processes to ensure adherence to the company's core values. This position involves managing the full-cycle recruitment process, collaborating with leadership to align hiring strategies with business objectives, and maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will also be responsible for employee relations, benefits administration, and training initiatives, contributing to a high-performance culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Team in creating an employee-oriented, high-performance culture.
  • Ensure compliance of human resource programs, practices, and policies with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist in developing, drafting, and implementing new HR processes and analysis using Visio.
  • Develop human resource plans and strategies to meet organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate employee relations activities and facilitate the resolution of employment concerns.
  • Administer labor agreements and review disciplinary cases, making recommendations as needed.
  • Investigate and settle grievances under established procedures.
  • Prepare briefs for arbitration cases and conduct presentations at hearings.
  • Conduct audits and compile reports on labor matters as needed.
  • Prepare and submit required governmental reports related to labor relations matters.
  • Train managers and employees on labor relations topics.
  • Administer employee benefits and maintain accurate benefit files.
  • Market the benefits of training and development to improve workforce effectiveness.
  • Schedule and manage interviews, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Conduct initial screening calls to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Draft job offers and manage the offer process from creation to acceptance.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Human Resources, with at least 1 year in Recruiting.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Visio.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated strong analytic and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations gracefully.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the US Government.

Nice-to-haves

  • Human Resource Certificate such as SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM®-CP) or similar certification.
  • Master's degree.
  • Experience with Unanet and iSolved (GovConPay).
  • Tech-savvy.
  • Experience in the defense contracting industry.
