The Human Resource Specialist at Columbia Forest Products is responsible for enhancing recruitment, onboarding, and employee development processes. The specialist will work closely with managers and team leads to fill open positions and support new hires throughout their onboarding journey.

Responsibilities

• Enhance recruitment efforts by actively recruiting and posting job openings.
• Update job descriptions as necessary to reflect current needs.
• Participate in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
• Maintain ongoing communication with employees to assist them and foster a sense of belonging.
• Collaborate with managers and team leads to identify staffing needs and fill open positions.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) is a plus.
• Aptitude for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Understanding of compliance and labor laws.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain composure and confidentiality.
