About the position

Everest Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Human Resource Specialist (HRS) to join our team in Aurora, IL. The HRS will play a crucial role in monitoring all human resources functions within the organization. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about ensuring that employees provide quality care services while guiding them through HR procedures and addressing inquiries regarding company policies. The HRS will be responsible for establishing company policies and maintaining updated employee records, ensuring compliance with labor legislation, and fostering strong relationships with employees, management, and families. In this role, the HRS will oversee both national and international office teams, addressing any questions from managers regarding the labor force. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the medical or healthcare field, as this is a specific requirement for the position. The HRS will assist in the recruiting process, ensuring that the organization attracts and retains top talent. A solid understanding of full cycle recruiting is essential, along with the ability to implement training and development plans, prepare compensation and benefits packages, and conduct performance reviews. The HRS will also be responsible for updating employee records with new hire information and changes in employment status, maintaining organizational charts, and monitoring departmental budgets. Staying up-to-date with changes in labor legislation is critical to ensure compliance and to provide accurate information to employees regarding benefits such as sick days and paid time off (PTO).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review compensation and benefits packages.
  • Implement training and development plans.
  • Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions with the management team and remind the manager of their employees that are coming for review.
  • Inform employees about benefits such as sick days and PTOs if being offered based on the residing State and Company policy.
  • Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status.
  • Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records.
  • Forecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly.
  • Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organization.
  • Monitor budgets by department.
  • Process employees' queries and respond in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR Generalist
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
  • Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Team management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relevant field or above.
