About the position

The Human Resource Support I position is a full-time role based in Lost Hills, CA, primarily focused on providing essential administrative support within the Human Resources department. This position is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, particularly in data management and employee onboarding processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various data entry activities, which include verifying employee data, preparing materials for printing, and maintaining the confidentiality of employee information. The role requires a proactive approach to handling applications and employee records, ensuring that all data is accurately entered into the Farmer's Office program, and managing onboarding events effectively. In addition to data entry, the Human Resource Support I will be tasked with responding to information requests in a professional manner, adapting to changes in a fast-paced environment, and assisting with clerical duties such as filing, faxing, and copying documents. The position demands excellent interpersonal communication skills, as the individual will interact with employees and management regularly. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential, as is the capacity to maintain logs of activities and completed work. The role also involves preparing identification badges and passes, performing security-related duties, and ensuring that all employee records are kept up to date. The Human Resource Support I will play a vital role in supporting the HR team and contributing to a positive workplace culture by utilizing compassion and customer service skills in all interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry activities including verifying data and preparing materials for printing.
  • Protect the information and identities of employees.
  • Receive and process applications and employee data, including training records into the Farmer's Office program.
  • Obtain further information for incomplete documents.
  • Respond to requests for information in a professional manner and access relevant files.
  • Adapt to change with a positive attitude and maintain an open mind.
  • Work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Assist in other clerical duties including filing, faxing, and copying documents.
  • Utilize great interpersonal communication skills, compassion, and customer service.
  • Compare data with source documents to detect errors.
  • Store completed documents in appropriate locations.
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
  • Record data for each employee, including addresses, weekly earnings, absences, and performance reports.
  • Search employee files to obtain information for authorized persons and organizations.
  • Prepare badges, passes, and identification cards, and perform other security-related duties.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish/English with the ability to communicate fluently in both languages for business purposes.
  • Intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Human Resource experience in the Agricultural industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • High School diploma required or some college education.
